A Victorian Woodworks product story

Victorian Woodworks has provided timber solutions for a restaurant in Canary Wharf's Canada Square, which was recently opened by Masterchef winner Thomasina Miers and business partner Mark Selby.

The 5,500ft2 (510m2) 150-cover Wahaca restaurant, featuring an upstairs terrace bar, will serve the same Mexican street-style food found at Wahaca's two sister sites in Covent Garden and within the Westfield shopping centre.

Victorian Woodworks supplied 116m2 of antique reclaimed original face white slaked lime pine boards for installation as the wall cladding.

The result was a durable surface with a rustic appeal as a backdrop to the restaurant.

Reclaimed dense pine was chosen for some of the staircase treads and risers.

Victorian Woodworks offers a range of timber solutions to complement any traditional or contemporary environment.

Timber can be used for floors, walls and other surfaces.
