A Victorian Woodworks product story

Victorian Woodworks has provided a selection of timber solutions for installation at Chinawhite, a London nightclub and private-members club.

Chinawhite has recently reopened after relocating to Wisley Street, London, and has just been fitted out.

For the bar area, Victorian Woodworks supplied Ipe wood for installation on the floor, sides and backs of seating, boxings and the clad column, as well as throughout the main staircase.

The interior design incorporates influences from Southeast Asia, including wooden floors, an intricate bamboo-style walkway and a club area in black.

Offering hardness and resistance, Ipe is suitable for both commercial and residential installations.

Chinawhite's ground-floor restaurant was completed with a Russian Oak Stab floor, laid to a herringbone pattern and finished with a black stain and a silk matt lacquer finish.

Russian Oak was chosen for its character and because it is a tough, hardwearing floor.

The flooring selection for the VIP area was, again, Russian Oak, this time laid to a brick bond pattern with a black stain and a high-gloss finish.
