Victorian Woodworks provides flooring for city bar

A Victorian Woodworks product story
Edited by the Interiorstalk editorial team Jun 5, 2009

Victorian Woodworks, a manufacturer of reclaimed and new timber flooring, has provided a suitable flooring solution for Paramount, a members' bar and club at Centre Point in London.

The views across the capital are intended to combine with the interior of the bar, which features a mix of bespoke furniture alongside vintage pieces.

The club houses an event space on the 31st floor, restaurant and lounge areas on the 32nd floor and a viewing gallery on the 33rd floor, complete with a wraparound Champagne and cocktail bar.

Victorian Woodworks supplied a combination of timbers for installation throughout the various dining areas, including 240m2 of burnt oak chevron and 90m2 of plank parquet, both semi-finished with a black stain.

Some 300m2 of antique original face Angelium wide plank parquet with a Berkeley Square texture completed the project, resulting in a combination of surfaces that are intended to be aesthetically pleasing, hard wearing and easy to maintain.
