'Floating' shelves use hidden brackets

A Shelving Company, The product story
Edited by the Interiorstalk editorial team Jun 24, 2009

The Shelving Company specialises in 'floating' hollow core shelves (also known as box shelves), which use hidden brackets for support, giving them a clean, integrated look.

The floating shelves come in two basic types: 'alcove shelves' fitted to an alcove and supported on three sides by concealed battons; or 'wall shelves' straight onto a wall (usually masonry) using special cantilevered steel brackets.

We also now make bespoke alcove cupboards using butt-hinged wooden panelled doors.

The Shelving Company offers a bespoke service.
