The Sleep Room has introduced a modern Indian-style bed, which combines delicate patterns with intricate detailing.

The India bed is said to add style to both modern urban homes and cosy countryside cottages.

The headboard in a contemporary colonial style is hand carved from sustainable rosewood and features a floral motif and a patterned bone inlay detail.

The curved lines of the base, headboard and legs give the bed a soft profile, according to the company.

Painted in French Grey to suit a range of interior styles and settings, the design is intended to work well paired with white linen and warm-toned throws and accessories.

The India bed is available in a range of sizes, including single, double, king-size and super-king options, with prices starting at GBP695 and mattress prices starting at GBP345.

The Sleep Room also offers a range of accessories, including goose-down duvets and pillows, standard-sized cotton bed linen, snug cashmere blankets and stylish headboards.
