Surface offers promotion on under-floor heating

Surface has announced that any customer spending GBP500 or more on tiles throughout March and April 2010 will receive 50 per cent off its programmable under-floor heating kits.

The company offers a variety of tiles, ranging from tiny glass mosaic through to ultra-thin porcelain in 1 x 3m sheets.

The half-price promotion means that the average cost of under-floor heating for a room measuring 3 x 2m is reduced from GBP394 to around GBP197 (including VAT), including a seven-day programmable thermostat.

Under-floor heating provides an energy-efficient, silent, invisible and practical method of heating, either as a primary heating source or as an additional extra to heighten levels of comfort and to add a luxury feel to the room, according to Surface.

It is said to be simple to install and is incorporated into the adhesive bed; as a result, it does not increase the level of the floor.

Rooms benefit from clear walls, which reduce visual clutter and allow optimum layout schemes, as well as a gentle radiant heat that is controllable.

Under-floor heating can be continued up the walls to warm and dry the entire shower area and also to connect to demisters to ensure steam-free mirrors.
