Strata kitchen features island with barrel units

Stoneham has launched the American Black Walnut Strata kitchen, which features an island with two barrel-shaped cupboards flanking the centre.

The barrel units are topped with solid Black Walnut worktops, while the rest of the worktops are granite.

The extractor unit is ducted directly into the ceiling void.

The entire kitchen seems to 'float' on stainless-steel plinths inset with sparkling light-emitting-diode pinpoint lights, according to the company.

The design includes black mirrored-glass wall units and full-height units accommodating a large bank of cooking appliances (Wolf and Miele).

The Sub Zero stainless-steel fridge is set into another full-height bank of units on the opposite side of the island.

Strata fittings provide storage and access arranged according to Stoneham's layout, which focuses on the concept of Dynamic Space.

Stoneham kitchens are priced from GBP20,000.
