Stair-rod bracket for runners and fitted carpets

A Stairrods product story

Stairrods has introduced the Universal stair-rod bracket, which is suitable for use with both stair runners and fitted carpets.

Typically, standard brackets do not fit flush to the edge of a runner on winder steps, whereas the Universal bracket, which attaches to the riser only, can be turned on its single-screw fixing for a neat finish, according to the company.

The Universal bracket is made from solid brass and is available in seven finishes

The Universal bracket is made from solid brass and is available in seven finishes: polished, satin and antique brass, black, chrome, satin nickel and pewter.

The brackets are sold in pairs and are designed for any circular rods measuring up to 0.5in (12.5mm) in diameter.

Previously, fitting stair rods to a winder caused problems as a standard two-screw, hinged bracket, which attaches to a tread and riser, cannot be fixed so that it follows the edge of the carpet, often resulting in one end of the bracket having to be tucked under the edge of a runner or resulting in irregular gaps between the carpet and the bracket.

The new Universal bracket is suitable whatever the make of stair rod and will be on show on Stand B14 at the Harrogate Flooring Show.
