Scott Brownrigg creates new HQ for Interiors Group
Scott Brownrigg Interior Design has created a new flagship headquarters for The Interiors Group (TIG) in Balderton Street, London.
Within the building, which is situated close to Oxford Street, a variety of dynamic spaces, memorable yet functional, were required, with a 'showcase' reception area at the street frontage.

A series of inspirational images, including those of Dan Flavin's art installation of a yellow fluorescent tube light - 'The diagonal of May 25, 1963', helped to develop the themes for the various interconnected spaces.
Upon entering the informal entrance zone, one is met with a shiny 'flowcrete' flooring system lit by a barrisol ceiling, which draws the visitor towards a media wall controlled by an Ipad interface.
A pair of Alcove sofas create an informal meeting space by the media wall, while recessed bright lighting features picks up the theme of the TIG logo 'the brackets'.
Adjacent to this area, a pair of rooms named 'funky' and 'serious' provide flexible meeting spaces for both the TIG team and clients, and contain audiovisual equipment.
The 'funky' meeting room incorporates tri-folding doors that link it to the reception space and provide a flexible area for presentations and larger gatherings for TIG events.
This meeting room has a long Fritz Hansen glass table with Walter Knoll white leather high-back FK chairs that bring a sense of sophistication to the space.
The first use in the UK of the lit timber wall by Luminoso acts as a backdrop to the meetings.
A transition zone with colourful perspex artworks forms a route to the break-out area.
Here, acrylic boxes of different sizes and depths bring a sense of colour and dynamism to link the spaces.
Silhouettes of TIG building projects in London and Abu Dhabi form bespoke artwork for the space.
A small servery providing refreshments and a solid standalone bench that seats up to four people has also been included in this area.
A simple palette of materials including smoked glazing and matt black surfaces are placed throughout the spaces to create surprising reflections and distortions, while the signature accent colour yellow of the TIG logo highlights surfaces and elements such as the tap to the servery.
Assorted sizes of suspended pendant mirror balls by Tom Dixon create interesting reflections and distortions and lead to the second floor where contemporary workstations provide space for up to 46 members of staff.
The second meeting room is more 'serious' with classic Oxford chairs by Fritz Hansen, a Methis ceramic top meeting table and the Smithfield black light from Flos.
