Rangemaster has announced the introduction of a new generation of induction technology to its collection of contemporary and traditional range cooker designs.

The newly upgraded Rangemaster induction technology offers increased cooking flexibility with five power zones, each offering 1-9 heat settings plus a 'boost' function to increase power at the touch of a button for controllability and faster cooking times.

The first three models to feature the new technology are the Classic Deluxe 100, Professional+ 100 and Professional+ FX

The maximum power for each zone reaches a higher temperature than the current system, with up to 3kW more energy powering it.

For intuitive cooking, Rangemaster has also introduced two preset power levels.

L1 is preset to 40C to start the cooking process for various sauces and gently melt foods such as butter, chocolate and cream cheese.

L2 is the 'Optimum Simmer' setting - programmed to 90C, it is claimed to create a perfect simmer for vegetables, pasta and rice.

Another new function is the 'Auto Switch Off', which will cut power to the hob if it has been on and untouched for more than two hours.

The first three models to feature this new technology are the Classic Deluxe 100, Professional+ 100 and Professional+ FX.

The existing 90 and 110cm induction models will benefit from this new technology before the end of 2011.
