Polyflor to show heavy-duty flooring at Ecobuild
Polyflor will showcase two new ranges of heavy-duty flooring featuring the company's ultra-strong polyurethane reinforcement (PUR) at Ecobuild 2010.
Polysafe Mosaic PUR decorative safety vinyl flooring offers improved cleaning performance, while the Classic Mystique PUR smooth vinyl flooring range features an injection of colour with a stronger collection of shades, according to the company.
Pictured is the Polysafe Mosaic PUR flooring, which is manufactured using recycled materials.
Both product ranges incorporate Polyflor's cross-linked, ultraviolet-cured PUR, which provides polish-free, low-maintenance flooring and offers sustainable maintenance benefits, including reduced energy, water and chemical usage.
As with many Polyflor products, Classic Mystique PUR and Polysafe Mosaic PUR feature a BRE Global A+ rating, are manufactured using recycled materials and are 100 per cent recyclable.
Ecobuild visitors will also be able to learn more about the Recofloor Vinyl Take-Back Scheme, of which Polyflor is one of two founder members.
The scheme facilitates the recycling of flooring off-cuts and uplifts, helping to reduce the overall environmental impact of vinyl-floor manufacturing.
Flooring off-cuts are recycled back into new vinyl flooring, while uplifted - or end-of-life - material is down-cycled into traffic calming products, such as traffic cones or road barriers.
