Parapan acrylic finds use in commercial market
Parapan, a high-gloss acrylic, is proving to be useful in the commercial market for a number of distinctive solutions.
For instance, sleek shiny panels of black Parapan were specified for the bar and cafeteria in the recently completed Gateshead Civic Centre.

Keith Richardson, managing director of catering design, said: 'I elected to use Parapan as the fascia material for the food service counters because it gave me exactly what I was looking for: a substantial decorative fascia panel with a high-gloss finish and solid core capable of being moulded to the curves I had designed.
A solid high-gloss acrylic sheet, Parapan is claimed to be more durable than lacquers and other finishes.
The colour runs all the way through and never fades; it is a waterproof and repairable material.
Available in a range of colours, Parapan is also said to be very workable; it can be cut to any size and thermoformed into curves.
