Cafe-style shutters provide a single tier of shutters with adjustable blades.

The window is screened at eye level while daylight pours in from above.

Adjusting the blades gives an even more subtle balance between privacy and light control, according to the company.

The New England Shutter Company offers a nationwide measuring and fitting service.

Available in a range of different materials, blade widths and finishes, all shutters are made to measure.

Prices start at GBP375 per square metre.
