Lorna Syson introduces eco-friendly textiles
Lorna Syson Textiles has introduced a 100 per cent eco-friendly collection of handmade sculptural textile pieces for use as home accessories such as cushions.
The new cushion collection is inspired by the British countryside in spring, featuring the shapes and colours created in the wild rural hedgerows from local plants and bushes.
The new cushion collection is said to be inspired by the British countryside in spring
The cushions are all made in Britain with locally sourced and eco-friendly fabrics sponsored by Camira.
The fabrics are made from a mixture of wool and stinging nettles, which are completely biodegradable and have a very low carbon footprint.
All of the parts of the design and manufacturing process are sustainable and the company can even provide eco-friendly cushion inners made from wool, which are said to be good for the environment and suitable for people with allergies.
The new collection will be shown at the Top Draw and 100 Per Cent Design exhibitions.
It will also go live on the website and will be available to buy from the beginning of September.
