Kitchenaid cooker hood provides quiet operation

Kitchenaid claims that its KCIP 1010 architect island hood can add an element of style to household kitchens.

With a wing span of 1,000mm and quiet in operation, the hood delivers a ventilation capacity of 690m3/h using a perimetric extraction system; this 690m3/h exhaust capacity is controlled via electronic pushbutton control.

Perimetric extraction is said to be more efficient than traditional extraction for the dispersion of vapours and fumes, ensuring excellent noise reduction and improved grease filtration.

The vapour stream breaks on the hood's central panel and is spread over the entire surface.

The hood is encased in patented Easyclean stainless steel and houses permanent metal filters.

The KCIP 1010 island hood features three fan speeds as well as an intensive speed setting, while its 52dB(A) on the second setting will not interrupt conversation at the table.

The hood delivers noise levels of 42dB, 52dB, 59dB and 65dB, depending on the setting selected.

There is an automatic run-on time at the end of cooking to ensure that all cooking fumes and vapours are extracted.

The KCIP 1010 uses high-performance, energy-efficient halogen lighting.

The hood features an optional active carbon filter for recirculation mode.

Kitchenaid's KCIP 1010 island hood measures 1,100mm in height, 1,000mm in width and 700mm in depth.

A larger, 1,200mm-wide model is available (the KCIP 1210) as is a wall-mounted version (the KCDP 9010).
