Electronic cabinet locks provide keyless access

Four Seasons, an operator of luxury hotels, has selected Codelocks to provide high-quality electronic cabinet locks for the gym and spa facilities of the Sharm El Sheikh resort.

Approximately 55 CL1000 electronic cabinet locks were specified to provide controlled access to the gym and spa lockers for guests using the newly refurbished facilities, which include 13 treatment rooms, a sauna, steam rooms and gym equipment.

'The electronic cabinet lock provided a solution to our security needs and prevented the need for duplicate keys to be constantly produced for guests using the lockers,' said Ahmed Ghazy, safety and environment manager at Four Seasons.

The CL1000 provides a keyless access control solution for a range of lockers, cabinets and cupboards.

Fitted as new or as a replacement for previously installed key cam systems, the CL1000 provides immediate keyless access control.

The CL1000 has three programme levels and is available as a standard vertical model or a horizontal right-hand or left-hand model.

The Master Code on the CL1000 can be used to put the lock into two types of operation: the default Multiple User Mode for repeated same code opening or the One-Time User Mode for lockers with short-term occupancy such as gym lockers, whereby a new code is selected by each new user.

The electronic cabinet lock has a 10-digit keypad and is powered by two 1.5V AA batteries, which means that the lock can provide a minimum of 15,000 openings before the red light-emitting diode (LED) starts flashing to signal that the battery voltage is low.

The battery override function featured on the CL1000 means that users can gain access by entering the Master Code while placing a PP3 battery on the contact points surrounding the LEDs.

On changing the batteries, the non-volatile memory retains all original program settings.
