Howe Green entrance mat installed in delicatessen

An entrance mat from Howe Green has provided the finishing touch to a new delicatessen in Quakers Friars, part of Cabot Circus - a one-million-square-foot urban regeneration scheme in Bristol.

Quakers Friars is said to offer the high-end retail and fine-dining focus to Cabot Circus.

It features a new Chandos Deli - a speciality food retailer operating in the south west of England, with branches in Bristol, Bath and Exeter.

To safely protect against dirt and water ingress into the store and therefore prevent customer trips, a Metro 9 entrance mat from Howe Green was installed.

Featuring aluminium scraping channels, which are securely connected using a recycled LDPE flexible hinge, the Metro 9 range offers high performance with a slim profile, according to Howe Green.

Entrance mats provide an effective method of removing dirt and water from the soles of shoes, thus eliminating the ingress of dirt into buildings.

As well as helping to ensure clean interiors, the elimination of dirt and water also prevents slip hazards.

Chandos Deli specified the mat with an optional black rubber insert for additional durability.

Fully compatible with the Disability Discrimination Act, the Metro 9 range is 9.5mm thick, allowing it to be incorporated into an existing matwell or surface mounted when door thresholds are at minimal height.

Each product in the Metro 9 range is made with 30 per cent recycled product and offers complete end-of-life recyclability.

The Metro 9 is just one of a complete range of entrance matting produced by Howe Green.

The company also produces a selection of floor, wall and ceiling access panels plus specialist channel drains.
