Pakhale designs prototype bed for Hastens

Designer Satyendra Pakhale has collaborated with Hastens to create an installation for the 'Hastens Meeting of Minds' exhibition on 9 February 2010 at Hastens Store Sveavagen.

Pakhale presented a Hastens sofa prototype created exclusively for the exhibition, the first product of its type for the bed brand.

A new prototype of a Hastens sofa has been created using natural materials and a spring system

Hastens deconstructed the qualities that make its beds so comfortable and applied these aspects to design outside of the bedroom.

The sofa has been created using the same finest natural materials and spring system as a Hastens bed, hand-made by skilled craftsmen with rigorous attention to detail.

The design of the two-seater sofa features an iconic form with a defined profile, enhanced by sleek legs and a specially designed pillow for the seat.
