Hansgrohe to launch two shower pipes at Ecobuild

Hansgrohe will launch two shower pipes at Ecobuild in London on 2-4 March 2010.

The Raindance E 420 shower pipe, with its sleek rectangular lines, and the Raindance shower pipe for concealed installation with its tidy, close-to-the-wall installation were previewed in 2009 and are now available to the UK market.

Hansgrohe's Airpower technology enriches the water by drawing air into the shower head.

The shower pipes offer both an overhead shower and a hand shower in one system.

According to the company, they also offer convenient installation, with only one water connection required to feed both showers.

Many Raindance shower-pipe models are available with the Hansgrohe Ecosmart technology.

Thanks to a special flow-control system, water consumption is reduced to a maximum of 9 litres a minute depending on pressure - significantly less than for an average disc-shaped overhead shower, which generally requires more than 20 litres a minute.

A self-adjusting precision O-ring reacts to the flow pressure level, reducing or enlarging the water outlet as required.

This means that the water volume consumed remains consistent, independent of the pressure levels and with the result that water and energy costs are reduced.

The Raindance shower pipe for concealed installation features the tried-and-tested technology available from the behind-the-wall Hansgrohe Ibox universal installation unit.

The model on display at Ecobuild - the Raindance shower-pipe Ecosmart S180 Air - will be complete with the water-saving Ecosmart technology.

The ensemble, comprising an overhead and hand shower, merges with the slim, rectangular thermostat enclosure via the shower pipe.

The thermostat offers adjustment options for water volume and temperature as well as changing from overhead to hand shower and vice versa.

The behind-the-wall solution conceals the technology in the form of a cover plate, which fits flush to the wall, thus offering scope for movement.

The streamlined style characterises the overall linear appearance of the shower pipe, which manages without any superfluous accessories, according to Hansgrohe.

The vertical shower bar and its flat, protruding overhead shower with a diameter of 180mm are correspondingly slim-line in style.

The Raindance E 420 shower pipe is a new shower system featuring an unusual design.

Components include the asymmetrically positioned wall rail, the wide thermostat and the flat overhead shower.

The Raindance E 420 shower pipe features a dynamically shaped profile, exact edges and smooth chrome surfaces.

The flat, inclined shower pipe gives the impression that the shower system is floating in front of the wall.

The overhead shower element is said to be striking, thanks to its rectangular form with softly rounded corners and a new width of 420mm.

At the same time, the slim overhead shower element appears lightweight and restrained.

The shower pipe offers a multi-jet showering experience with a choice of two spray types available: a shoulder-wide air-enriched rain spray made possible by Airpower technology; and a clear, wide flood jet for powerful showering.

In addition to regulating the water temperature and volume, the spray types can also be switched via the thermostat.

The knobs for controlling the temperature and water volume and for changing between the shower and jet types virtually disappear in the form of the thermostat, which is mounted flush with the wall without any visible connections.

The flat top consists of a glass surface while the new materials used bring variety onto the scene, offering a storage shelf for products.
