Slimline dishwasher ideal for smaller households

Kitchen appliance manufacturer Gorenje has introduced a slimline dishwasher that is said to be ideal for smaller households or those with limited space in their kitchens.

Measuring just 45cm in width, the GV51010 slots neatly into a run of kitchen units and can clean eight place settings using just 13 litres of water per load.

Ruth Ferguson, Gorenje's marketing manager, said: 'The GV51010 is ideal for those who want the benefits of a dishwasher but have limited space.

'A-rated for energy and wash performance, the GV51010 is a slimline machine that has flexible, full-sized capabilities that can be customised for your household, including seven programmes and Gorenje's unique Aquastop anti-leak technology,' she added.

The fully integrated slimline dishwater is also B-rated for drying performance.

There is an electronic control panel hidden in the top edge of the door frame for a seamless appearance.

The seven programmes include Sensitive, Glass, Intensive and Eco, as well as four washing temperatures.

The top basket is height adjustable to accommodate oversized plates in the bottom rack or tall glasses in the top basket.

Other features include an end-of-programme audible and light signal.

Drying is provided using residual heat stored from the last hot rinse, while the Aquastop technology prevents leaks for the life of the dishwasher.

An automatic water softener dispenser is intended to improve washing performance.

Special heat exchanger technology gradually increases the temperature of the water to prevent crockery being damaged by sudden changes in temperature and reduces clouds of steam at the end of the programme.

The GV51010 dishwasher delivers a noise level of 51dB(A) and comes with a free two-year guarantee on parts and labour.

The dishwasher, which measures 85cm in height, 45cm in width and 60cm in depth, retails for approximately GBP500.
