Patterns are set to make a comeback in the world of interior design this autumn, according to GH Frith, a UK importer of rugs and carpets.

According to Andrew Frith, owner, patterned decor is definitely back - not just with rugs but throughout the home.

Swirls, spots, stripes, abstract designs and animal prints will make a comeback this autumn, according to Andrew Frith, the owner of GH Frith. Pictured is the Laura Jade Indian Rug Design.

He said: 'Swirls, spots, stripes, abstract designs and even animal prints will be back with a vengeance this autumn.

'But the secret to successful patterns in the home is to keep it simple.

'A rug is the perfect way to lift an otherwise plain room and the best patterns work well when used in natural surroundings,' added Frith.

The Laura Jade collection provides some examples of uplifting rugs for autumn 2009, with designs ranging from bold, bright Indian animal prints to pastel rugs with swirls and spots.

GH Frith rugs are sourced from all over the world; the online selection features thousands of rugs in a range of sizes, colours and designs.

Custom-made sizes are also available.
