Patterns and dark rugs won't show up too many marks.

Do you want your rug to be the focal point of a room or just an accessory? If it is the main feature, go for something striking and eye-catching.

If it is just another accessory, then choose something that blends in with your existing colour scheme.

Don't forget to keep your rug in top condition, rotate it once every few months to ensure colour and wear is kept even - particularly in areas with plenty of natural light.
