Artist Jo Omar designs and produces each piece individually from her studio in Newbury, Berkshire.

Combining colour, texture and pattern, the vivid splashbacks are ideally situated behind a cooker or placed above a sink.

Each custom-made creation is cut to a bespoke size from 6mm glass.

The splashbacks can be customised to accommodate sockets.

To ensure durability and longevity, each splashback is toughened and treated before the design is painted on.

To complete the process, a backing is applied to seal in the paint before it can be attached to a wall.

According to the company, splashbacks can be used as an alternative to tiles.

The glass creations are said to be simple to install for any kitchen fitter; however, Funky Splashbacks also offers a personalised fitting service.

Splashback prices will vary depending on the size and design.

The splashback pictured is called Red Circles; it measures 600mm in width and retails from GBP500 including VAT.
