Evitavonni recommends personalised spaces within the home, such as 'his and hers' zones.

According to the company, an individual will be able to relax in a luxurious space that is completely tailored to his or her taste and lifestyle.

Kate Williams, senior interior designer at Evitavonni, said: 'For the lady of the house, the dressing room is certainly back in vogue.

'This space is more than a walk-in wardrobe; it's a calming, feminine haven in which to start and end the day.

'I recommend simple interior design with a neutral colour palette and subtle detailing, such as soft silk cushions and beautiful crystal wall lights,' she added.

The dressing room should also feature furniture pieces such as a bespoke dressing trunk, which can also be used on holidays.

For the man of the house, the company recommends a traditional gentleman's study area.

The study area is a place to work in and have personal time for reflection.

Williams recommends opting for an old-fashioned study approach with high-quality dark-wood furniture and comfortable high-back chairs teamed with modern statement lighting and bespoke pieces.

The overall look should be masculine and cater for modern needs.

Ideally, she added, there should be a prominent bespoke element with the design of the space and furnishings dictated by lifestyle.

Lighting is also important - there should be a few options available, including a strong centre light and a more relaxed reading lamp for the evening.
