An Envosort product story

Envosort has been commissioned to design an instant working environment within the post room at the new Tower of London office of Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW), an international law firm.

As HFW had previously commissioned Envosort to design and install a mail facility, the company was given the opportunity to start again and provide a quote for the new, more complex layout.

As a result of building work, it was not possible initially to see the room, so Envosort needed the customer to visualise it from the computer-aided-design plans.

After inspecting the current post room to study the working layout and discussing the move, Envosort was also asked to provide products for a further three areas: the reprographic, archive and stationery/store rooms.

For the post room, Envosort provided 11 Series 90 benches, some of which incorporate lockable cupboards to secure valuable items for delivery; 26 columns of Flexi build sort units to cater for internal post and worldwide offices; a packing bench for parcel preparation; storage racking for the goods-in area; and two GT2 trolleys for the post runs.

For the reprographic room, the company supplied nine customised Series 90 benches to ensure that the correct work flow for printing is maintained, including accommodating five large print/copiers, and to fit in all binding equipment.

Envosort also provided wall shelving to store plain paper and binding extras.

The archive room also features Series 90 benches: two at sitting height for employees to use and two at standing height for storage.

Wall shelving and storage racking are also included.

The stationery room/store now has six modular racking units and three roll cages.

Peter Graham, the HFW manager responsible for this area, said: 'Aside from designing from a distance, as it were, Envosort also had to contend with an L-shaped main room, which meant shaping furniture around pillars.

'It has been of major benefit to be able to source an integrated interior from the one specialist manufacturer and it all looks very bright and modern, while being robust enough for the function of this area,' he added.
