Ellis poll shows potential of bathroom furniture
Ellis Furniture polled more than 7,000 consumers at the end of 2010 and found that, although most did not have bathroom furniture, they would like to have it.
Of those who took part in the research, 35.6 per cent said they could not live without bathroom furniture and 60.9 per cent said they would love to have it.
Peter Elson believes that there is great potential for bathroom furniture for the RMI and new build markets
Just 3.4 per cent said bathroom furniture was not important to them.
'These results show there is great potential for bathroom furniture for the RMI and new-build markets', said Ellis Furniture sales and marketing director Peter Elson.
'Bathroom furniture can turn a good bathroom into the perfect bathroom, en-suite or cloakroom and makes every home more desirable,' he said.
'The obvious benefits of bathroom furniture are the invaluable storage for products we tend to accumulate, plus the opportunity to maximise space in the smallest rooms of the home,' said Elson.
'There are also cost benefits; using furniture can reduce cost of other materials such as tiles,' he added.
'Time and money can be saved on labour for boxing in pipes, for example, which are also unsightly,' he went on.
'Bathroom furniture also provides a commercially viable home-improvement opportunity, especially when the manufacturer produces all components, as we do at Ellis Furniture, thereby making installation quick and easy,' Elson concluded.
