Filestore uses Premierack system from Dexion-PSS

Dexion-PSS, a UK manufacturer of racking systems, has helped Angleton fulfil its brief of providing Filestore with a novel concept in archive storage.

The company designed and supplied its FEM-compliant Premierack system for Filestore's warehouse at the Chalcroft Distribution Centre in Southampton.

The Premierack system provides the necessary infrastructure for Filestore to manage the document storage and retrieval needs of a range of customers operating in the legal and financial markets, institutions and government bodies.

Undertaken over a two-year period as a joint partnership between Dexion-PSS and its distributor Angleton, the Premierack multi-tier adjustable racking system was chosen for its ability to meet Filestore's brief to provide high-density storage by maximising headroom while giving access for the retrieval of documents.

The Premierack multi-tier racking system incorporates decking, walkways, staircases and electrics and is now providing Filestore's facility with an offsite data management system.

David Weight, Angleton's managing director, said: 'With office space at a premium and with companies facing the growing statutory requirements to retain documents and data, there is an ever-pressing need for specialist archive storage systems.

'This requirement has resulted in our working with Dexion-PSS to create a specialist system for the storage of archive boxes for businesses, institutions and specialist companies such as Filestore,' he added.

Dexion-PSS's Premierack is suitable for archive storage and for a variety of packaged goods.

It includes a range of 90mm upright sections, available from 1.5mm to 2.4mm to suit all load requirements.

Beams have five hook connectors with stiffening ribs and rolled edges to offer greater stability.

Dexion-PSS has combined box and step beam profiles on each storage level to enable more boxes to be stored.

All types and combinations of archive boxes can be stored, including single- and multi-level applications.
