Chesney's unveils fire screens
Chesney's has launched a collection of fire screens following its recent collaboration with designer John Stefanidis.
In a re-invention of a traditional idea and exclusively for Chesney's, John Stefanidis has used some of his best-loved fabrics to create these three beautiful fire screens.
Chesney's has launched a collection of fire screens following its recent collaboration with designer John Stefanidis.
The purpose of a fire screen in Victorian times was to conceal the empty fire chamber when the fire was out of use, functioning as a work of art in itself.
In these contemporary interpretations, the function is the same and the wood frames have been specifically chosen to show the fabrics at their best.
The patterns are designed to bring colour and warmth to a room in place of a lit fire and still allow the carving of a Chesney's chimneypiece to be admired.
The screens are also available in a range of fabrics.
