Armstrong Ceilings has re-launched the TLX composite suspended grid system.

Originally launched by Armstrong 18 months ago, the TLX ceiling system has been improved with a rebate detail to the staked-on hook clip, which makes it easier to install as well as being more secure.

An audible click can be heard once it is securely in place.

The development of the TLX clip enabled Armstrong to use thin-gauge technology and to improve its tortional strength with a patented Peakform section and double stitching for rigidity, with the additional benefit of maintaining better alignment to facilitate squaring during installation.

The enhanced TLX system can be installed faster than the old system, according to Glasgow-based Brian Hendry Interiors, which has used the TLX clip on various projects to date.

'Our installers don't have any problems with it at all and it is certainly a lot quicker and easier to install - about five per cent quicker,' said managing director Brian Hendry.

The new clip was developed as a co-extrusion with a PVC coating to the steel clip, which allows it to be lighter than its traditional TL predecessor.
