Online book features suspended ceiling solutions

An Armstrong World Industries product story
Edited by the Interiorstalk editorial team May 27, 2009

Armstrong World Industries, a supplier of suspended ceiling solutions, has released an online book - Canopy Collections 2009.

This new online book will provide stimulation for architects designing discontinuous ceilings and in the selection of the right ceiling solution for their projects from Armstrong's Canopy range.

Quick and easy to install, Armstrong canopies can be used where there is no ceiling, or in conjunction with either plasterboard ceilings or suspended ceiling tile and grid systems, and are available in a variety of different textures, materials, shapes and sizes to fit in with any design.

Armstrong canopies offer customised solutions and allow architects and designers to balance design with the need for good acoustic performance.

In developing its canopy range, Armstrong has taken inspiration from the challenges generated by current trends such as the need for flexible work spaces and localised acoustic control in large open plan areas and where exposed concrete soffits are used to provide free-cooling.

The online book presents ideas on how discontinuous ceilings can be used in a variety of spaces, both new and retro fit, including open-plan offices, waiting rooms, reception areas and corridors.

Architects can see images of previous installations and download project case studies to assist them in creating original designs.
