The Amelie bed features the strong lines and detailing typical of the Empire period (1793-1830), according to the company.

There are also authentic period-style horizontal columns on the head and footboards and ornate brass embellishments.

The cherrywood bed is available in many sizes, ranging from 3ft (91cm) up to 7ft in width.

The 5ft version pictured retails at GBP4,200.

The matching Empire bedside unit is priced at GBP1,700, the Brodsworth lamp costs GBP180 and the dressing table retails at GBP4,300.
